Portal Credentials
View passwords and logins your MSP has chosen to share with your organization. The Credentials page in the Client Portal is read-only and opt-in: only credentials your MSP has explicitly shared appear here, and your MSP can stop sharing one at any time.
Overview
The portal Credentials page lets you:
- See the credentials (logins) your MSP has shared with your organization
- Reveal a shared credential's password — and its 2FA secret, when one is stored
- Copy a username, password, or 2FA secret to your clipboard
Nothing here is editable from the portal. Adding, changing, and un-sharing credentials is handled by your MSP.
Navigate to Credentials
In the Client Portal, select Credentials from the left navigation
(/portal/credentials).
Who can see credentials
Access to the Credentials page depends on your portal contact type. Credential visibility is granted to Primary and Technical contacts only — the same contacts who can see assets:

If your account type does not include credential access, the Credentials navigation item is hidden and the page returns an access error. Contact your MSP if you believe you should have access.
Revealing a password
Passwords are hidden by default. Select Reveal on a credential to display its password; select Hide to mask it again. When a credential also has a stored 2FA (one-time password) secret, that is shown alongside the password after you reveal it.
Every time a password is revealed in the portal, your MSP records a security audit event noting who revealed it and when. The password value itself is never written to the audit log.
What you'll see for each credential

| 2FA secret | Shown after revealing, when a 2FA secret is stored |
| Notes | Any notes your MSP added to the shared credential |
If your MSP hasn't shared any credentials with you, the page shows a No shared credentials message.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add or change a credential?
No. The portal Credentials page is read-only. Your MSP manages all credential records and decides which ones are shared with you. To request a change, open a support ticket from the Tickets page.
Why did a credential disappear?
Your MSP can stop sharing a credential at any time. When they turn off sharing, it immediately stops appearing in your portal.
Where are these credentials related to my assets?
When a shared credential is linked to one of your assets, it also appears under Shared credentials on that asset's detail page. See Portal Assets.
