Portal Quotes
Review and accept quotes from your MSP through the Client Portal.
Overview
The Quotes area lets you:
- View a list of quotes prepared for your organization
- Open a quote to see its line items, totals, and notes
- Accept a quote that has been sent to you
Quotes are only available to Primary and Billing portal contacts. If your account is a Technical, Emergency, or Other contact type, the Quotes area is not accessible.
Navigate to Quotes
Open Quotes in the portal navigation to see the quotes prepared for your account.
Quote List
The list shows the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Quote # | The quote's reference number (a link to the detail view) |
| Status | Current quote status (see below) |
| Amount | Total quoted amount |
| Valid Until | Expiration date, or - if none is set |
| Created | Date the quote was created |
| Actions | A View link to open the quote |
Searching and filtering
The list includes a Search quotes... box and a status dropdown with the options All Statuses, Draft, Sent, Accepted, Rejected, and Expired.
If no quotes are present, the list shows a No quotes found message.
Quote Statuses
The status badge shows the quote's raw status value (for example SENT, ACCEPTED, DECLINED, EXPIRED). The statuses you are most likely to see are:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| SENT | The quote has been sent to you and is ready to review and accept |
| ACCEPTED | You have accepted the quote |
| DECLINED | The quote was declined by your MSP |
| EXPIRED | The quote is past its valid-until date |
Note that the status dropdown's Rejected option corresponds to the DECLINED status shown on the badge. Other internal statuses (such as DRAFT) may also appear with their raw status text.
Quote Details
Click a quote number or its View link to open the detail view. Use Back to quotes to return to the list.
Summary cards
The top of the detail view shows three summary cards:
| Card | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Amount | The total quoted amount |
| Valid Until | The expiration date (shown in red if the quote has expired) |
| Accepted | The date you accepted the quote, or - if not yet accepted |
Line items
Each quote lists its line items in a table:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Product | The linked product name, or - if none |
| Description | Line item description |
| Qty | Quantity |
| Unit Price | Price per unit |
| Amount | Line total |
Below the line items, a summary shows the Subtotal, Tax (only when a tax amount applies), and the Total.
Notes
If the quote includes notes, they appear in a Notes section at the bottom of the detail view.
Accepting a Quote
You can accept a quote only while its status is SENT and it has not expired.
- Open the quote.
- Review the line items, totals, and any notes.
- In the Ready to proceed? panel, click Accept Quote.
- The page confirms with "Quote accepted successfully!" and the status updates to ACCEPTED.
After acceptance, the Accepted summary card shows the acceptance date, and the Accept Quote button no longer appears.
Expired quotes
If a quote was sent to you but has passed its valid-until date, the Accept Quote option is not shown. Instead, you'll see a message asking you to contact your MSP for an updated quote.
Tips
- Check the Valid Until date before accepting — expired quotes can't be accepted from the portal.
- If you need changes, a different price, or a quote re-issued after it expires, contact your MSP directly. Editing, declining, and revising quotes are handled by your MSP, not from the portal.
