Getting Started

This guide will help you get up and running with Ascent quickly.

Logging In

  1. Navigate to your Ascent instance (e.g., https://yourcompany.goascent.app)
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Click Sign In

If you've forgotten your password, click the "Forgot Password" link to reset it.

Understanding the Interface

The left sidebar provides access to all Ascent modules:

  • Platform - Organization and user management (admin only)
  • Main - Dashboard
  • CRM - Clients, Contacts, Locations, Pipeline
  • PSA - Tickets, Schedule, Time Tracking, Projects
  • Assets - Assets, Domains, Certificates, Credentials, Software
  • Billing - Invoices, Recurring, Payments, Quotes, Products, Contracts
  • Analytics - Overview, Team, SLA, Client Health
  • Reports - Various business reports
  • Admin - Settings, RBAC, Integrations, Audit Logs

Use the search bar at the top (or press ⌘K / Ctrl+K) to quickly find:

  • Clients
  • Tickets
  • Assets
  • Contacts
  • And more...

Notifications

Click the bell icon to view your notifications, including:

  • New ticket assignments
  • Ticket updates
  • System alerts

Your First Steps

1. Set Up Your Organization

Navigate to Settings to configure your organization:

  • Organization name and contact details
  • Regional settings (timezone, currency, date format)
  • Branding (logo and primary color)

2. Add Team Members

Go to SettingsMembers to invite your team:

  • Enter their email addresses
  • Assign appropriate roles
  • They'll receive an invitation email

3. Create Your First Client

Navigate to CRMClients:

  1. Click + Add Client
  2. Fill in the client details
  3. Save the record

4. Add a Ticket

Navigate to PSATickets:

  1. Click + Create Ticket
  2. Select the client
  3. Enter the ticket details
  4. Assign priority and status
  5. Save

5. Explore Other Modules

Once you're comfortable with the basics, explore:

  • Assets - Track client hardware and software
  • Billing - Create invoices and quotes
  • Reports - View business analytics
