The Projects module helps you manage larger initiatives that involve multiple tasks, milestones, and team collaboration.

Overview

Projects in Ascent allow you to:

  • Organize complex work into tasks
  • Track milestones and deadlines
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Monitor progress and budgets
  • Report on project status

Viewing Projects

Navigate to PSAProjects to see your projects.

Project List

The project list shows:

  • Project name
  • Client
  • Status (Active, On Hold, Completed)
  • Progress percentage
  • Due date
  • Budget status

Project Statuses

Creating a Project

  1. Click + Create Project
  2. Enter project details:
    • Name - Project name
    • Client - Associated client
    • Description - Project overview
    • Start Date - When work begins
    • Due Date - Target completion
    • Budget - Estimated hours or cost
    • Project Manager - Lead team member
  3. Click Create

Project Structure

Tasks

Break projects into manageable tasks:

  • Task name and description
  • Assignee
  • Due date
  • Status (To Do, In Progress, Done)
  • Estimated vs actual hours

Milestones

Key checkpoints in the project:

  • Milestone name
  • Target date
  • Associated tasks
  • Completion status

Phases

Group related tasks into phases:

  • Phase 1: Planning
  • Phase 2: Implementation
  • Phase 3: Testing
  • Phase 4: Deployment
